About Unflatpack
Unflatpack launched in 2005 because for most people, building flat-pack
furniture is somthing they tolerate or hate. Bit like eating sprouts really.
Of course, there are some people that love building furniture, the more
screws and parts the better. Exactly the people that come and work for
Unflatpack.
Untill now, the options were to call a carpenter - who tend not to be
interested in small jobs like building furniture, or find a ’handyman’ in a local newsagents’
window. In today’s climate, understandably people are dubious about letting
a total stranger with no traceable history into their homes.
Unflatpack set out to change this. We offer a professional flat-pack
furniture assembly service, providing experienced furniture fitters that
put customer service at the top of their agenda.
Over the past 2 years we been featured in many television programs, radio
shows, magazines and newspapers and have helped carry forward our message
that you don’t have to do it yourself anymore. Call an Unflatpacker
to professionally assemble your flatpack furniture for you. It seems to
be sinking in.
We are often asked if there is a difference between furniture built by
us and an average person. Of course they didn’t have to waste time
doing something they didn’t enjoy. The real difference is in the
detail. All the connections are fixed with the appropriate strength, the
doors and handles are all level and open and close properly. Furniture is fixed to
the wall when appropriate. The whole thing looks and feels right.
It seems that more and more we are going to find our furniture in flat-packed form. With the majority of furniture manufactured overseas the only way to reduce the carbon cost of transporting it here is to do it as efficiently as possible, this means filling each shipping container with as many items of furniture as possible. When a piece of flat-pack furniture occupies less than ¼ of the volume of when it is assembled it is an argument that makes more than just financial sense.
Your furniture company delivers boxes, Unflatpack gives you furniture
– not fuss.
